1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Global Trade Market ("GTM", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data in connection with the website gtmlb.com and the services offered through it (the "Services").

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, GTM is the data controller responsible for your personal data. Our contact details are set out at the end of this policy.

GTM is based in Lebanon, and this policy is designed to comply with Lebanese Law No. 81/2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data. Where we knowingly process the personal data of individuals located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also seek to align with the principles of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information we collect

Information you provide to us: when you contact us, request a call-back, open an account or take part in our referral programme, we collect the details you give us — typically your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, country of residence, trading experience and interest, and any message content or documents you send us.

Information we collect automatically: when you visit our website we collect basic technical and usage data, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, the referral source or referral code that brought you to us, and analytics events describing how you interact with the site.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive data (such as health, religious or political information), and we ask that you do not send us such data.

3. How we use your information

To set up and support your trading account with our partner brokers, to respond to your enquiries, and to provide, maintain and improve the Services.

To communicate with you — including via WhatsApp, phone, SMS or email — about your request, your account and, where you have not opted out, relevant offers and updates.

To operate our referral programme, including issuing referral codes, attributing sign-ups to the correct referrer, and calculating and paying rewards.

To understand and improve how visitors use our website through analytics, to keep the Services secure, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal basis for processing

Consent — for example, when you agree to be contacted, submit an enquiry, or accept non-essential cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

Performance of a contract — to take steps at your request before entering into, and to perform, the arrangements between you, GTM and our partner brokers.

Legitimate interests — to run, secure and improve our business and the Services, provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.

Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with applicable law, including record-keeping and anti-fraud requirements.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to remember your preferences and referral attribution, and to measure traffic. We use Google Analytics and may use marketing pixels to understand how visitors reach and use our site.

Referral links set a cookie (up to 90 days) so that a sign-up can be credited to the person who referred you. Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function; non-essential (analytics and marketing) cookies are only set where permitted, and you can decline or disable them through your browser settings at any time.

6. How we share your information

Partner brokers: we share the minimum information necessary — such as your name and contact details — with our partner brokers (including BBCorp) so they can open and service your trading account. Once shared, the broker processes that data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

Service providers: we use trusted third parties who process data on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics and messaging providers, under obligations of confidentiality and security.

Legal and safety: we may disclose data where required by law, court order or a competent authority, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims and protect our rights, users or others.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. International transfers

Some of our partner brokers and service providers are located outside Lebanon, so your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your own country. Where such transfers take place, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected and is only shared for the purposes described in this policy.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy — to service your account and enquiries, operate the referral programme, and meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations — after which it is deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your data; object to or ask us to restrict certain processing; and withdraw any consent you have given (without affecting processing already carried out).

You may also object to receiving marketing communications at any time by using the opt-out in any message or by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.

10. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. Access credentials for the referral programme are stored using strong hashing and are kept separate from lead records.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any account password confidential.

11. Children

The Services are intended only for adults who are of legal age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites and platforms, including partner brokers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites; we encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing them with your data.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and any changes take effect when posted. We encourage you to review it periodically.
